English Carling Cup.

11 November 2008

Swansea vs Watford
Arsenal vs Wigan
Stoke City v Rotherham
Derby vs Leeds
Manchester vs QPR

Manchester United v QPR

As most Premiership sides are expected to do, Manchester United will rest most of their key and frequent players in this Carling Cup match against QPR. The Red Devils are coming from a 1-2 away defeat at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal and with a heavy schedule to follow, they will need to give time to young players. This means that the likes of Rodrigo Possebon, Rafael Da Silva, Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson and strikers Manucho and Danny Welbeck could take part in the game. QPR on the other hand does not have such a luxury to rest a large number of players. The London side is currently fighting for promotion being level on points with the Play Off places, but their record away from home has been extremely poor, 1-3-4.

* Pick: QPR should not be expected to cause any major upset tonight, however betting on the home win is not worth it at so low odds.

Arsenal v Wigan

Arsenal is also expected to use many of their youngsters, but they are probably expected to do better than what the senior players would probably do on a Carling Cup game. Wenger’s young players have shown the last few years that they have all the potential for a glarious career and Carling Cup games have always been for them a good opoortunity to prove their talent. Wigan will use more first team players but having to play another game within such a short period of time could prove crucial for them.

* Pick: Arsenal youngesters have great potential and should win against the senior struggling side of Wigan. 1.

- Saturday,22 November 2008 -

Middlesbrough - Bolton
Middlesbrough: 2-3-1
Bolton: 3-0-3
Bolton have been pretty good away recently but I believe they will struggle a bit at Riverside today. But my best pick on this one is probably a bit few goals.
Less than 2.5 goals.

Liverpool - Fulham
Liverpool: 5-0-1
Fulham: 3-1-2
Fulham have very strong home form but away against Liverpool they should not have a chance. Even though Steven Gerrard will probably miss this game.
Liverpool to win with 0-1 handicap.

Portsmouth - Hull
Portsmouth: 2-2-2
Hull: 2-1-3
Hull have been better away than at home recently and there could be a chance of an upset in this game. But I believe it will be a close one.
Draw and maybe over 2.5 goals.

Manchester City - Arsenal
Manchester City: 1-1-4
Arsenal: 2-2-2
Both teams are struggling with poor form at the moment. Arsenal looks to be out of the title race and are desperate to prove that they still have a chance of winning it.
Over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea - Newcastle
Chelsea: 5-0-1
Newcastle: 2-2-2
Newcastle away have been poor all season. Chelsea will probably win this game and with at least a two goal margin.
Chelsea to win with 0-1 handicap.

Stoke - West Brom
Stoke: 3-1-2
West Brom: 0-1-5
West Brom have very poor form and away against Stoke I do not they have a chance at winning. Stoke are very strong at home.
Stoke to win.

Aston Villa - Manchester United
Aston Villa: 3-1-2
Manchester United: 4-1-1
United have been pretty good against Aston Villa at Villa Park in recent years and I believe that will continue today.
Manchester United to win.

- Sunday, 23 Novermber 2008 -

Tottenham - Blackburn
Tottenham: 3-1-2
Blackburn: 0-3-3
Spurs have impressed since Harry Redknapp replaced Juande Ramos as manager. This is a game that I am confident Spurs will win. And my bet will also include a certain in form striker to score.
Tottenham to win and Frazier Campbell to score.

Sunderland - West Ham
Sunderland: 2-1-3
West Ham: 0-2-4
The Hammers are struggling both on and off the pitch. I believe they will struggle to get anything with them from the North.
Sunderland to win.

- Monday, 24 November 2008 -

Wigan - Everton
Wigan: 1-2-3
Everton: 3-2-1
Everton have impressed with good form recently and Wigan have failed to impress at home. I believe the visitors can get all three points from this one.
Everton to win.

Just my personal analysis for reference.
Good Luck To All !
Bet within your own means.

Chelsea to win will be slightly safer.
The rest is a bit tight due to some injuries to key players.
Liverpool - Steven Gerrard
Man Utd - Dimitri Berbatov
Man City and Arsenal, form is not very consistent, very erratic.

Bordeaux vs Chelsea ---> take Chelsea gives -3/4 (95%)
Inter Milan vs Panathinaikos ---> Inter will win but may not clear AH of -1 3/4
Atletico Madrid vs PSV Eindhoven ---> take Atletico gives -3/4 (95%)
Liverpool vs Marseille ---> take Liverpool gives -1 1/2,a bit risky here.

Me already placed a little on Atletico to win H-H
Only for reference, you have to make the final decision and choice.
Play only within your means.

Good Luck To All Here !
